Responsibility & Risk​

All travel involves risk. As a fully aware traveler and registrant to AfroBuenaventura Transformative Travel (the Company) programs (the Activity), you (the Client) will be required to sign a notarized Release of Liability which states that the Client release from liability and waive the Client's right to sue the Company, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of the Company’s negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss the Client may suffer or which may result from the Client's participation in the Activity, travel to and from the Activity (including air travel), or any events incidental to this Activity.

Certain Products may not be suitable for all people due to restrictions posed by limitations in mobility, physical or cognitive disability, pregnancy or various other physical or mental conditions. It is the Client’s responsibility to assess the risks and requirements of each Activity in light of such Client’s limitations, physical and mental fitness and condition, and any medical requirements or issues of such Client. The Company may refuse to carry pregnant women over 24 weeks or Clients with certain conditions, if suitable accommodation or alternate Activities or services cannot be arranged. Travel, as offered by the Company, by its nature may involve visiting remote or less developed regions, where medical facilities may not meet the standards of those found in a Client’s home country. The condition of medical facilities in the countries in which the Company operates varies and the Company makes no representations and gives no warranties in relation to the standard of such facilities or medical treatment in those regions.
The Company will try to accommodate the special requests of Clients, such as dietary and accommodation requests, but such requests do not form part of these Terms or the contract between Client and the Company and the Company is not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.

Release of Liability

Each client commits to submitting a signed a Release of Liability before arriving to the destination.
Payment for Services Rendered
​
Custom travel planning services are confirmed and initiated only upon the receipt of payment of the Service Fee in full. All payments will be made through the Company's preferred payment portal.

Cancellations & Refunds
​
All Service Fees are non-refundable.
​
Upon cancellation, All related Travel Referral Program discounts applied to fees of other travelers will be revoked.
In the case of Custom Itinerary Curation, Service fees are not transferable to other travelers. Non-refundable service fees resulting in a cancelation before delivery of the 1st draft itinerary can be transferred to an engagement that finishes within the same calendar year that the original engagement commenced.
Should an engagement be cancelled by the Company, payments will be fully refunded minus any transaction fees.

Cancellations of Travel Fees (i.e. accommodations, flights, tours, activities, or additional services and amenities) are subject to the cancelation and refund policies of the individual third-party provider.

The Company is not responsible for any cancelations by third-party providers.
Expenses Not Included
​
The Service Fee does not include any of the following, unless expressly indicated in the Service Agreement:

Passport Application Fee

Other services & fees

Costs associated with trip interruption or modification due to weather, travel conditions, political/civil disputes, medical emergencies or other causes beyond our control. Choose a travel insurance that provides coverage for these rare cases.
