Black in Cali

8 days/7 nights

Cali and the Pacific Coast of Colombia were the impetus for AfroBuenaventura Travels. The blackness, the people, their culture. Join me to experience the joy of being in the city known as the home of salsa dancing, where flavorful music permeates the streets during the Petronio Alvarez Festival, an annual celebration of Afro-Colombian music and culture. Then we'll jaunt to the port of Buenaventura where we'll escape to a remote fishing village to see black coastal life and the beauty of black sand beaches and mangroves.

This one-of-a-kind trip will focus on the significance of Afro-Colombian culture, and taking an intimate look at the resilience of black villages on the country's Pacific coast. The following itinerary is custom crafted; a result of over 100 hours of research. Did I mention that I'll be your personal photographer and deliver social media ready photos each step of the way? Yea, that part!
